MotoGP ’06 races onto the Xbox 360 today, leaving a smouldering trail of tyre tracks in its wake. The game, which offers a unique angle on racing, has already won a string of accolades and is certain to take a spot on the podium as a racer unequalled in its speed, intense gameplay and ultra-realistic visuals. IGN named it the Best Racing Game in its E3 2006 Awards, saying: “This game, quite simply, looks amazing… a feast for the eyes.” We sincerely hope they practice their fire drills regularly at IGN towers, as they report that MotoGP ’06 “makes you feel what it’s like to hit corners at Mach 2 with your hair on fire.”
Edge Magazine awarded the game an impressive 8/10, revelling in the game’s “lush middle distance and immaculate bikes,” also noting that it’s sure to be “an early Xbox Live favourite once again.”
GamesMaster called the game its “ride of choice,” giving it a score of 88%. The magazine said MotoGP ’06 is “smoother than a Gregorio Lavilla gear change.”
Awarding a score of 4 out of 5 stars, 360 Magazine called MotoGP ’06 “a stellar gaming experience,” stating that the “bikes and riders look INCREDIBLE. Real, in fact.”
