THQ announces sequel to 2006 chart smash, Disney·Pixar's Cars
And it is… Cars Mater-National
Following the huge success of last year's Disney*Pixar's Cars, which was the no. 1 kids' game brand and the second biggest seller of 2006; THQ is pleased to announce that there's a sequel in the works. Under development at Rainbow Studios, Cars Mater-National will be an all-new racing adventure set in Radiator Springs - and will appear on Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS and GBA later in the year.
There'll be brand new international characters wheeling up to the start line to compete against Lightning McQueen; and a new and improved open-world to host the First Annual Mater-National Race Festival. With new tracks, a boot-load of mini-games and more than 10 multiplayer modes; this is a sequel that Disney*Pixar's Cars fans and indeed, anyone with a penchant for wacky racing, would do well to follow.
