Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade
Deep under the central desert of Kronus, a vast honeycomb of skull-lined tunnels and funereal chambers house the awakening mass of the Necron plague. Eons ago, these were the boulevards and squares of a great necropolis built to house the bones of the races who had fallen to the Necron purge, and ultimately for the Necron themselves to retire to. Over the millions of years, sand and rock had covered it all until ill-fated excavations awoke the deathless again. Play any of seven races, striving for control over Kronus. Take other races' strongholds by winning challenging battles on various maps individually associated with the respective Strongholds.

Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade gets Tyranid mod!
RTS gamers and PC strategists should be more than familiar with THQ's line up in this area. Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander and, of course, the Dawn of War series are forging new paths for the genre.
But for anyone hankering for yet more content for their RTS collections, it might be worth checking out the latest mod for Dark Crusade; the critically acclaimed standalone expansion pack for Relic's Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. It's called the Tyranid mod, created by the no-nonsense named 'Tyranid Mod Team'. And it contains, you guessed it, Tyranids!
For those who don't already know, the Tyranids are an established race from the Warhammer 40,000 universe who "threaten the imperium from the edge of the galaxy, living only to feast upon the flesh of their foes."
So if you feel the urge to expand your expansions even further, you can download it from Gamespot right now.
